미국,캐나다 지역의 Medical School에 들어가기
위해서 요구되는 시험으로 보통 년 2회 4월과 8월에
있다.
시험은 Verbal Reasoning 66문제 (85분), Physical Science 77문제(100분),
Writing
Sample 2문제(60분),
Biological Science 77문제(100분)으로 각 Section
시험 시간 후 10 분씩
휴식시간과 점심시간이 Physical
Science 시험 후 60분간 있다.
The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
is a standardized, multiple-choice examination designed to assess problem
solving, critical thinking, and writing skills in addition to the examinee's
knowledge of
science concepts and principles prerequisite to the study of medicine. Scores
are reported in each of the following areas: Verbal Reasoning, Physical
Sciences, Writing Sample, and Biological Sciences. Medical college admission
committees consider MCAT scores as part of their admission decision process.
