Congratulations! On behalf of the Admissions Committee, it is my pleasure to offer you admission to the graduate program in Master of Fine Arts (MFA) - Communication Design/Dynamic Media at Massachusetts College of Art and Design for the fall 2013 semester.
Upon enrollment you may be eligible for a maximum of eight Graduate Assistantships with a maximum award of $4,400 per year or $8,800 over two years. Assistantship opportunities include one Teaching Assistantship per semester (available after your first semester) along with one of the following: Technical Assistantship in a studio, Research Assistantship, and multiple opportunities in Curatorial Programs and the Graduate Programs Office. Receipt of this award is based on your ability to work combined with the availability of appropriate positions. Each Assistantship requires approximately 67 hours of work over the course of one semester at a compensation of $1,100.

While we anticipate you will have a strong finish in any current coursework, please keep in mind the Admissions Committee reserves the right to withdraw your acceptance if your final grade report is unsatisfactory, or you do not receive your undergraduate degree.
Your transcript indicates that you have not met our Art History pre-requisite; 6 credits of undergraduate Art History. By accepting our offer of admission, you agree to complete two art history classes, 6 credits. These classes will be taken in lieu of the two open electives within the degree requirements. Course selection is made in conjunction with your program advisor.
To accept our offer of admission and to secure a place in the fall 2013 class, please return the Tuition & Housing Deposit form along with the non-refundable $400 tuition deposit to the Office of Admissions by May 1, 2013.To secure a space within on-campus housing, please also submit a $240 housing deposit and the Housing Application.
