I have known her since 2000 when I started my first lecture on Architectural Design Theory as a visiting professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering, The College of Construction Engineering at <..........>university, Seoul, Korea. During the lecture I spent lots of time on Interior Design, which gave me many chances to talk to Gil Dong Hong, especially for the period of final presentation.

First of all, one of her strength was the attitude towards design, a class and people. She was very earnest and tried to be very objective. During her work process, she showed unique originality and creativity. I was able to read her potential artistic ability while she was working on a final presentation through which she revealed various viewpoints and analytical ability as well. Moreover I remember she showed me her strong talent in design work and presented a leadership to her team members through the class.

Through many discussions and contacts with her, I have come to know that she wants to study further in an advanced environment, which has good academic programs and facilities. In addition, her future dream is to be a competent designer in Korea. Accordingly, it is natural that she should study hard in the field of Interior Design in the States.
